Welcome to SS Studio. My name is Sofia Sohail, I am a professional photographer currently living in Fairfax. VA. I graduated with honors from The College of New Jersey with a degree in Psychology in 1996. I went on to receive my MA in Counseling Psychology in 1999 from Georgian Court University. I have always been very passionate about photography. To me, photography is much more than just being able to click the shutter. It’s about being able to have a creative eye, to be able to use the surroundings in your environment to know what exactly would make a good photograph. It’s about having the technical knowledge to know when to use a certain f-stop (aperture setting) and why. It’s about being able to work with the light that is available, or to use extra light when needed.

My style is modern, natural, and fun. I capture the moments – the tears, the laughs, but I will also guide you to compose a beautiful image. I work with people of many faiths & traditions. I am committed to providing my clients with high quality photography, giving you an affordable, top quality commemoration of your special day. It is my belief that like a fine painting, a photograph preserves a memory, a mood, a moment in time. The ability to capture the emotions, natural expressions, and joy in your life is truly an honor and privilege.
